You're not someone who needs to be convinced that strength training matters—or that vegetables exist and we should probs consume them. You know. You've read the books, listened to the podcasts, followed the plans.
But knowing what to do when everything goes according to plan is different from knowing what to do when it doesn't.
That's what we're training here.
YOU ALREADY KNOW HOW TO WORK HARD. NOW LEARN HOW TO ADAPT.
You know the inner critic, comparison spiral, and body-image noise aren't helping. Knowing that doesn't magically make them shut up.
Your body has changed—or your life has—and some of your old rules don't work anymore.
You second-guess yourself.
Am I doing enough? Too much? Should I push today or back off? Is this actually what my body needs?
You know how to follow the plan. You're less sure what to do when the plan stops fitting.
You can follow a training plan. You can buckle down when there's a race on the calendar. You know strength matters, recovery matters, fueling matters, and yes—you are aware that protein matters.
You want to feel strong and capable without making your body another project that constantly needs fixing.
You don't need more rules. You need better skills for navigating what changes.
Focus primarily on output.
Workouts completed. Metrics hit.
Treat deviation as a problem.
Get you “back on track.”
Optimize the routine.
Assume the goal is executing it.
Give you the plan.
Tell you what to do.
Builds capacity + agency.
So eventually, you need less instruction—not more.
Expects change.
Because adaptation isn't failure. It's part of the process.
Builds decision-making skills.
So you know why, when, and how to adjust.
Teaches you to read the terrain.
Understand what your body and life actually need.
When your body, goals, capacity, or life changes, you know how to build an approach that fits now.
You can assess what's happening and decide when to push, pivot, recover, or ask for help.
Thoughts, comparison, body-image days, and “shoulds” can show up without running the show.
You know how to train, fuel, recover, and build strength for what you want to do.

THE COACHING
Four months of VIP coaching with Jess + weekday feedback/support + four live
cohort calls.
THE TRAINING
Access to Grit strength programming so you can put the physical side of Sturdy into practice + custom endurance programming.
THE COMMUNITY
A small founding cohort of humans practicing the same skills alongside you + the Sturdy resource vault.
Going through life as a sturdy girl is just easier. I can lift a 50-pound bag of dog food without help, keep up with my demanding job, and I never take that strength for granted.
I’ve finished my first triathlon, marathon + 50k while becoming genuinely consistent with exercise for the first time in my life. What I love most is her ability to be both a dream enabler + a reality check.
With Jess, I found a coach who got to know me, my goals, + tailored my program to fit where I was in my fitness journey. She’s been my guide through half-marathon training, 50k prep, + even recovery from an elbow fracture and surgery.
I trust her programming and feel confident candidly sharing what’s working… Together, we co-create training that flexes with my life while building toward my goals... I feel fully supported in every training cycle.
Before coaching with Jess, I struggled with managing loads and volume while transitioning from powerlifting to running. Jess helped me enjoy the process, adjust for real life, and maintain my sanity with lifting and running. Game changer!
Jess pushed me to set new goals I thought were unachievable, and helped me fulfill every one of them. I feel stronger overall than I ever have before.
I help everyday athletes build strength, run smarter, and feel more at home in their bodies — without obsessing over shrinking them. Around here, sturdy means resilient, confident, and ready for a big, rad life.
The goal is for you to leave with a framework that you can continue using. You will have access to the course forever. There will be opportunities for you to continue coaching 1:1 or with our strength membership, Grit.
All calls will be recorded with easy access for you to watch when
you're able to!
No.
We will talk about nutrition, fueling, body composition pressures, and body image—but the purpose of the Method is not to make your body smaller. We're interested in what your body can do, how you relate to it, and how you support it for the life you want to live.
The lessons are intentionally short and audio-based so you can integrate them into real life. Expect approximately an hour each week for 2-3 lessons, your homework and connecting with your community.
Good. Well, not good for you. But you are exactly why this program exists.Sturdy isn't built around creating perfect circumstances, it's about learning to adapt to the season of life you're in and make it work for you!
You don't need to be advanced. But this experience is designed for women who value movement and want physical capability to be part of their lives. You may already run, lift, hike, race, or simply be ready to build a stronger athletic identity.
